The under 8’s team consisted of Lily Messenger, Oliver Payne, Ellis Taylor, MJ Clutton, Phoenix Carney, Archie Pitham and Jessie Tricker.

The teams first game was against Mistley and took them a little bit of time to warm up but came out with a great win of 9-5.

Their second game against Hadleigh was a tough one but with some great tagging resulted in a draw of 8-8.

By the time their third game came round against Felixstowe the team had put their training into practice and pulled off some great play resulting in a 9-4 win for the team.

They then went on to their final pool game against Braintree (A), and although there was some great tagging from the team, lost 5-2.

Harwich then progressed to the shield semi-finals where they faced a tough Hadleigh (B) team. The team played some fantastic rugby and won 9-7.

The final was against a very strong Braintree (B) team and both teams played to their full potential and both deserved the win but it was Harwich that were victorious with a 6-5 win!
