The Fab Four became the Famous Five winning well earned praise from all sides and just missing out on the tournament win in a close final match.

We had 3 pool games and Sudbury 1 were our first opponents. Harwich got off to a strong start and Sudbury fought hard to come back but we ended the game 10-6 winners.

Colchester 2 were up next and once again Harwich were flying but this time they never let up and with Colchester unable to get going we quickly got to a 6 point margin at 8-2 which ended the game as a contest under tournament rules. The teams played on to see out the match and the final score was 11-2.

Hadleigh 1 were game 3 and Harwich were determined to keep the winning streak going. This they did with a great all round performance finishing off with a 14-9 win.

So as pool winners we carried on to a cup semi final against Stowmarket. For the first time Harwich found themselves in a really tight game. We had a long break between the pool matches and took a little while to get going. Credit to Stowmarket who were really up for it but Harwich worked hard and deservedly won 9-8.

So the through to the final to face Hadleigh 2 who had battled through in their semi winning in extra time. Again Harwich were a bit slow out of the blocks and found themselves chasing the game fairly early on. It would have been easy for us to let ours heads go down, but instead they just kept going for it and never let Hadleigh settle. In the end Hadleigh just had a bit too much for us and they got the win 9-6.

Every player; Lily, MJ, Jacob, Ollie and Ellis should be really proud of the way they played and how they represented themselves and the club. It was great to see them play some different teams and they didn't get to the final by chance. They did it by being one of the best teams there and against teams that had big squads were a whisker away from winning the tournament.

Big thank you to the players and parents and to Hadleigh for a great tournament.
