Starting on the front foot Harwich were able to strike first within 10 minutes with 2 penalty’s in front of the posts which were both converted by Craig Wilson putting harwich 6-0 up.

Harwich continued to put in pressure until Halstead broke the line and were able to score 2 quick try’s taking the score to 6-12.

Not long went by before Halstead struck again with a converted try under the posts 6-19. With half time approaching harwich were able to secures the ball in front of the posts with a scrum and Craig Wilson breaking through and scoring Harwich’s first try of the day bringing the score at half time to 13-19.

After half time it was Halstead who took the game to harwich quickly putting them under pressure and eventually scoring a couple more try’s without any cone back from harwich. 20 minutes into the second half harwich took the ball from a line out and with some good support and hands through joe Francis Luke Williams and jack mulligan. Joe was able to score there second and last try of the game.

Harwich seemed to run out of breath in the last 20 minutes and Halstead took advantage breaking Harwich’s defence a number of times to make the final score 20-46. Harwich’s man of the match went to Luke Williams playing his first game for the seniors and showing some pace and talent on the wing.
