With a full squad of 6 and everybody raring to go, Harwich started off well with a try on the scoreboard in the opening 30 seconds. Some solid defending from William Porter, Orla Shaw and Rueben Clover held off the Mersea attack with non-stop tagging. A quick reset and attacking run from Mersea put them on the scoreboard and Harwich were quick to return the favour, with a brilliantly picked running line from Ronnie Taylor and another try to Harwich. Oscar Brown was then determined to add to the score-line with a well earned full pitch try run.

By half time Harwich were adamant to increase their score and pull more tags so the challenge was set. With great teamwork from both teams the game was very back and forth with both scoring tries after each other. Orla, Jayden, Rueben and Ronnie adding to the try total. With the Harwich players picking some great attacking lines and holding a strong defence, by full time each of the players had 1 or more tries to their name and plenty of tags pulled by each, exceeding all challenges and expectations!

Both teams showed great teamwork, sportsmanship and determination from the start right through to full time. The under 7's should be really proud of themselves, the hard work in training is really showing and they can only go up from this point!
