The Owls started quickly out the blocks and had the visitors pinned down inside their 22m line, the sustained pressure eventually forced a poor clearance kick which was gathered by fullback Lillie Barnett who weaved through a disorganised defence to touch down for the opening score, the conversion missed for a 5-0 lead.

The Owls extended their lead when an excellent kick from Annalise Allan had Southwold turning and chasing the ball towards their goal line, a good kick chase saw the Owls recover the ball and Chelsea Shand received the ball to beat the covering defenders and score for a 10-0 half time lead after the conversion missed.

The Owls stuttered at the start of the second half with the strong wind affecting passing and poor discipline around the breakdown a frustrating period ensued. The Owls scored again when Mim Pearson broke free down her wing and smartly off loaded to Annalise Allan who rounded the defence and sprinted clear from halfway to touch down under the posts, Allan converted the score for a 17-0 lead.
Harwich again lapsed in concentration and series of penalties resulted in centre Becki Hare being shown a yellow card.
With time running down Owls captain Sophia Tricker was also yellow carded this time for a high tackle leaving them with 13 players on the field.

The final minutes of the game saw Lucy Williams pick up a lose ball and score after a series of hard tackles and good line speed had put Southwold deep inside their half, Annalise Allan converted to make the result 24-0 to Harwich.

The Owls next match is the return fixture at Bury Foxes which will be a top of the table clash as one plays two, this is on 18th February and should be a cracking game.
