It was obvious from the opening salvo's that the break had had a detrimental effect on The Owls and they began the game really slowly, lots of handling errors and indiscipline made it hard going but once into their stride the tries started to come and they just kept coming, Harwich running out eventual 13 try winners 79-0.
With three tries from Annalise Allan and two from Laura Westlake the other Owls on the score sheet were, Chelsea Shand, Becki Hare, Kimberley Hutchins, Lauren Fee, Lucy Brown, Lucy Williams, Rosie Kay and Mim Pearson, Annalise Allan also added 7 conversions.
The Harwich scrum and line out dominated the game and solid work in the lose by the forwards again was a solid base for Owl attacks, strong runs from Naomi Dobner, Lucy Williams and Lauren Richardson gave The Owls front foot ball and this led to the backs being able to exploit gaps in the Lakenham defence, breaks by Rosie Kay, Kimberley Hutchins and Annalise Allan all led to Owl tries, Mim Pearson playing in her third ever game for the club put in a solid performance on the wing and thoroughly deserved her try.
The Owls face an improving Southwold side this Sunday 4th February at Low Road which is a 1 o'clock kick off.
