This was the first time this age group have played together as a team and showed excellent raw talent and control to win the game.

Man of the match went to the outstanding Bradley Stanford

Captain Tyler Beezley was inspirational leading from the front with bulldozing runs and quality scrummaging. The first try came from the kick off as Harwich played with the wind, some well worked rucking and tackling from Charlie Cockburn and good awareness by George Webb saw the ball fed out to Sivanjan Sivakumar to score the first of his three tries.

Next up Taylor Warner stole the ball from a ruck and broke through 4 tackles to score under the posts, Warner should of added to his tally later in the game but scuppered two tries. Bradley Stanford converted. Harwich were two tries up and looked comfortable.

Brightlingsea dominated the ruck area and worked themselves into a strong field position to score the next try. The visitors looked strong but Harwich remained calm and held on until half time to go into the break 12 - 5 in front.

Playing into the wind it looked as if the home side would struggle however this was not to be. Straight from the kick off tommy Palmer passed to Elliot Neville who supported by Finley Cash drove into the opponents half good rucking saw the ball passed wide to Bradley Stanford who made an excellent dash for the line side-stepping two players before using sheer strength power and determination to beat two tackles to go in under the posts for the first of his two tries. Joe Taylor stepped up to add the 2 points. Brightlingsea came at Harwich with renewed vigour and excellent on the line defence kept them out with Joe Taylor, Ozzy Barker and Andrew Bird making excellent defensive tackles and well worked counter rucking. The attack persisted and Brightlingsea were able to score an unconverted try. Harwich held together and added further tries from Sivakumar and Stanford.

Good kick chase from Brightlingsea saw them again get back into the game with a well worked try. From their kick off Andrew Bird caught the ball and went on a rampaging run tearing through the defence knocking their players over as he passed through to run over half the pitch to score an excellent solo try. In a classy team performance with two conversions and two tries man of the match went to the outstanding wing play of Bradley Stanford.
