Our buddy bench was unveiled at Saracens Camp

Unveiled by a good delegation from Harwich Town Council and the Rotary club and is now available to those who need. A massive thank you to the Harwich Town Council and the Rotary club for their support with this initiative.

A buddy bench is a bench which children should sit on if they ever feel sad, upset, worried, perhaps just a little bit lonely or isolated.

How this works within the club is that by sitting on this bench, it would show other people and all of the other children that you're in need of a friend or a 'buddy', or need someone to talk too.

All our coaches senior members and players of the club will watch, observe and chat, no matter what age.

Our buddy scheme provides targeted social and emotional support to the vulnerable. These can include, worries, bullying, or newcomers to the club.

Buddy Bench Rules:
If you are sitting on the bench, play with the first person who invites you. While you are sitting on the bench, look around for someone to talk too .

The bench isn't for socializing. Buddy benches are to promote kindness and to create awareness.
