Launched in 2020, Northampton Saints’ Club Affiliation Initiative aims to build stronger links with grassroots rugby clubs and establish a network of clubs supported in their development, helping to make rugby more accessible for everyone.
With a shared passion for making rugby accessible to all, creating new opportunities and inspiring the next generation of players, coaches and volunteers. We’re incredibly excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring to our club and community.
We look forward to working with the Northampton Saints Community Team to strengthen and support our community partnerships with local schools, giving children the opportunity to enjoy and engage with our sport.
Over the past three years the club has formed sports partnerships with local primary schools, providing equipment and coaching materials with the aim of making rugby more accessible to children. The club also hosts an annual Schools’ Tag Rugby Tournament for Years 2 and 3, giving children the opportunity to play the sport and embrace rugby’s core values. During this time, the club has seen its playing numbers increase year on year, and now offers rugby for children from U6 to U11.
Harwich & Dovercourt Rugby Club is also home to Tiny Rugby School, giving boys and girls the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of rugby from as young as 18 months.
If you are interested in joining Harwich & Dovercourt Mini & Youth Rugby section, training and matches take place on Sunday mornings at 10am. For younger children, Tiny Rugby School sessions take place on Saturday mornings.
