Harwich started off with great intent, carrying the ball well in the forwards. Allowing the backs to spread the ball wide and stretch the visitors defence. Harwich soon opened the scoring. A great counter ruck and turnover, led to Matt McCue scoring in the corner. Ben Smith slot of the kick from a very acute angle.

Keeping the pressure on Harwich dominated the scrums and lineouts, which gave a great attacking platforming. Stuart McCue was next on the scoresheet..

At the end of the half Bradley Durrant finished off a well-executed backs move.

Stowmarket started off the second half brightly, but Harwich’s defence was resolute. The dominant defence led to a turnover, which allowed Bradley Durrant score under the sticks, Ben Smith converted.

Stowmarket then replied with a try their own try after a slip-up in defence, try converted.

Tommy Moore scored the final try of the game and failed to convert his own try.
